The objectives of this research are (1) to determine the mechanism for implementing sanctions to the criminal acts of village fund corruption carried out by judicial institutions, aiming to understand the legal process that occurs in the implementation of sanctions to the village fund corruptors, including judicial procedures, the role of legal actors, and mechanism for determining the punishment given to perpetrators of corruption, and (2) to find out the obstacles faced in the implementation of sanctions for criminal acts of village fund corruption, aiming at finding out theobstacles that occur, to prevent more serious criminal acts of corruption from occurring in the future. The type of research carried out by researchers is Normative Empirical research, using empirical data and facts to support normative arguments. The data collection methods employed are normative (by literature study) and empirical (by interviews). It uses qualitative data analysis methods to obtain conclusions. The research results indicate that: (1) The mechanism for the implementation of the sanctions to the criminal acts of village fund corruption performed by judicial institutions has several stages, such as inquiry, inquiry, prosecution, and decision. (2) Obstacles faced in the implementation of sanctions for criminal acts of village fund corruption include legal factors, lack of evidence, and limited resources. This research provides several recommendations for improvement, namely increasing law enforcement officers, the role of the community in supervision, firmness in punishment, transparency of information regarding the use of village funds, and re-evaluation of existing anti-corruption laws to ensure punishment which is firmer and fairer for perpetrators of corruption.
