This study aims to 1) find the law enforcement of illegal drug trafficking criminal acts in Gorontalo City and 2) determine the inhibiting factors in overcoming illegal drug trafficking criminal acts in Gorontalo City. The type of research used in this study is empirical research. Empirical research is field research through observation and legal fact collection obtained from interviews with several institutions related to law enforcement of illegal drug trafficking criminal acts. The results of this study indicate that 1) law enforcement of illegal drugtrafficking criminal acts by knowing the steps taken by law enforcement officers and the coordination between agencies related to illegal drug trafficking in Gorontalo City. 2) The inhibiting factors in overcoming the illegal drug trafficking criminal acts in Gorontalo City are limited human resources and low public awareness. The suggestions in this study are 1) law enforcement and the government can strengthen efforts to eradicate the crime of illegal drug trafficking by taking various strategic steps, and 2) the community has a crucial role in supporting law enforcement efforts against illegal drug trafficking to realize law enforcement against the illegal drug trafficking criminal acts in Gorontalo City.
