The research aims to study the effect of several MOL types on composting and cocoa shell compost's nutrient content. Next, the differences in nutrient levels in cocoa pod husk compost will be determined based on the type of MOL used. The research was conducted from December 2023 to March 2024 at the Agricultural Extension Center, Paguyaman District, Boalemo Regency. Furthermore, compost nutrient levels were tested at the Tolangohula Sugar Factory Soil and Fertilizer Testing Laboratory. The research was conducted using a completelyrandomized design with one factor, namelyMOL type, with 5 treatment levelsand 3 replications. The treatments tested were M0= control, M1 = bamboo shoot MOL, M2 = banana weevil MOL, M3 = pineapplepeelMOL, and M4 = EM4. There were 5 levels, which were repeated 3 times, sothere were15 experimental units. Each experimental unit was placed in the formof a compost binusing a bucket. The results of the research showed that different types of sources of local microorganisms (MOL) affected the composting temperature and differences in the nutrients of cocoa shell compost.Furthermore, the Banana Weevil Mol treatment produced the highest nitrogen content of 2.28% and C-organic content of 50.85%. Furthermore, the highestphosphate content was produced by using EM4 at 0.34%, and the highest potassium content in the EM4 treatment was 1.82%.
