This studi aims (1) to find the factors causing land right ownership disputes and (2) to determine the efforts made to resolve land disputes. This study employs an empirical legal research method. Empirical legal reseach is a type of legal research that focuses on collecting and analyzing real data or direct observation of legal phenomena in society. The results of this study indicate that (1) The factor causing land disputes is the lack of clarity or disputes regarding land boundaries. If the the land boundaries are not marked clearly or there is disagreement about the location, the boundaries can trigger land disputes. (2) Efforts made to resolve land disputes are through non-litigation and litigation. Non litigation uses methods outside the courts, and litigation resolves legal problems carried out in court.
