The results of this study indicate that (1) The rights of the suspect in the criminal investigation process by the police investigator are five things: first, the right of the suspect to obtain clarity in the resolution of the case he faces. Second, the right to give information freely. Third, the right to obtain an interpreter. Fourth, the right to get Legal Aid and Fifth, the right to obtain legal assistance free of charge. (2) The factors that cause the rights of suspects in the criminal investigation process are often ignored by police investigators including personal psychological factors of investigators and lack of understanding of the rights of suspects. Based on the results of the study it is recommended as follows: (1) It is desirable that in the future increase the professionalism of investigators in handling existing cases using effective and efficient techniques and pay attention to the provisions governing the rights of suspects (2) It is expected that in the future increased understanding of the investigator about the importance of protecting human rights, so that the investigator knows that human rights are an intrinsic condition that cannot be disturbed and must be respected and upheld, except because of a very compelling condition which cannot be avoided anymore.
